Well, Thursday’s MRI showed two small spots that were not there at her last MRI in October. One was so small they missed it at first. But it looks like that nasty cancer is back.
We don’t know yet what this all means as far as treatment or anything. She is scheduled for an EEG on Monday to help the oncology team determine what needs to be done going forward.
What I do know is that Alexa and her family could use and would deeply appreciate it if you would include her and us in your prayers as we head into Lent and the Cross and Resurrection of our Lord, in whom we trust and who promises to never leave us or forsake us.
“Be strong and courageous, … It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:7-8
Our Father in heaven, keep your dear child, Alexa, safe in your loving care. Let your holy angel be with her and guide the ministrations of the doctors as they tend to her physical needs even as you already have settled her eternal needs in your Son, Christ Jesus, our Great Physician.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
